Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Brampton Distribution Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse workers, ensuring efficient and safe warehouse operations, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and guidance to warehouse staff, including selectors, reach truck operators, and shipper-receivers;
  • Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to Occupational Health and Safety regulations;
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance;
  • Manage administrative tasks, including productivity reports, load discrepancy reports, and inventory tracking;
  • Ensure excellent customer service, addressing store needs and resolving issues promptly;
  • Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies;
  • Implement and maintain infestation control programs;
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment;
  • Open and close the warehouse facility, securing premises and equipment as required;
  • Monitor and improve warehouse success factors, including labor productivity, auditing, and inventory accuracy;
  • Ensure the security of merchandise and property, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role;
  • Lift Truck and Health and Safety training and certification, or willingness to recertify;
  • Strong analytical skills to improve warehouse operations;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills;
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience using computerized inventory systems;
  • Decisive, results-driven, and problem-solving skills;
  • High integrity, honesty, and ethical values;
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills;
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external clients.
