Job Summary:

Vantage Living Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional laundry services to our residents, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to emergency response system alerts, following established protocols to ensure resident safety and well-being.
  • Provide exemplary laundry services, including scheduled and non-scheduled assignments, to meet the needs of our residents.
  • Work collaboratively with the service team to maintain a high-quality living environment for our residents, ensuring common areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Ensure all laundry equipment is in good working order, monitoring chemical levels and reporting any necessary repairs to the General Manager or Building Services Coordinator.
  • Participate in the setup and maintenance of the continental breakfast buffet, creating a welcoming atmosphere for our residents.
  • Adhere to WHMIS protocols and infection control guidelines when performing job functions, maintaining accurate records and MSDS as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the housekeeping process, with previous laundry experience in a hotel or retirement environment considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong awareness of environmentally sound practices and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and carrying laundry equipment and supplies.
  • WHMIS certificates required, with current First Aid certification preferred.
