About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Technician to join our team at Englobe. As an Environmental Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our Instrumentation team in delivering high-quality environmental services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Phased Environmental Site Assessments, including historical research, site inspections, and soil and groundwater sampling programs.
- Prepare field notes, data analysis, and evaluation reports.
- Participate in technical report and proposal writing.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.
Requirements
- College diploma in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or an environmental-related field.
- 2 years of experience as an environmental consultant in environmental drilling and test pitting, collection of soil and groundwater samples is an asset.
- Understanding of and/or ability to learn technical laboratory and field-testing procedures required.
- Working knowledge of both provincial and federal environmental regulations would be an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to complex topics and concepts, working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently problem-solve, tackle new assignments, and multi-task in a busy work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform detailed analysis in various software programs.
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain Security Clearance.
- Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for health and safety.
- Attention to detail is a must for this position.
