About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Engine Assembler and Tester to join our team at Pratt & Whitney. As an Assembler and Tester, you will play a critical role in the assembly and testing of aircraft engines, ensuring the highest quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble aircraft engines and sub-assemblies according to assembly floor sheets (AFS), adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of the product at all times, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Execute engine pre-dress, test, and post-dress according to assembly floor sheets (AFS), documenting all activities for smooth workflow and coordination between shifts.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure tools, equipment, and parts are clean, free from Foreign Object Damage (FOD), and properly stored.
  • Assist in troubleshooting during assembly, test, or disassembly of engines, performing tasks such as cleaning hardware.
  • Contribute to FOD prevention, continuous improvement, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) cultures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of technical college in aircraft trades.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the aircraft field preferred.
  • Awareness of EH&S, 6S, and continuous improvement would be an asset.
  • Must be detail-oriented and result-driven, with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Must display drive and initiative, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to support weekday and weekend overtime as required.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and be fluent in written and spoken English.
