Job Summary

Clintar Hamilton / Niagara Region, ON is seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. As a Snow Plow Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently clearing snow and ice from commercial properties. This is a 24/7 on-call position from November to April, requiring flexible hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as loaders, tractors, and skid steers, to clear snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, and other designated areas.
  • Maintain clean sites, ensuring no property damage during snow removal.
  • Respond to emergency calls for snow removal, especially during heavy snowfalls or severe weather conditions.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors or dispatch to report road conditions, progress, and any issues encountered.
  • Spread salt, sand, or other de-icing agents on road surfaces to enhance traction and melt ice.
  • Work in challenging weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snowstorms, and potentially at night, to ensure timely snow removal.
  • Maintain records of work completed, including time logs, equipment maintenance records, and reports on materials used.
  • Load own truck.
  • Provide professional service and follow all health & safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • 3 years of experience in a previous snow removal role.
  • Flexible hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • On-call availability from November to April.
  • Cell phone data with data required.
