Snow Plow Operator

We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for safely operating a spreader, plow wing, combo unit, and/or tow plow to perform snow removal on local roads and highways.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about keeping our communities safe, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a variety of snow removal equipment, including spreaders, plow wings, combo units, and tow plows
- Perform snow removal on local roads and highways, adhering to contract requirements and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed
- Familiarize yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates
- DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
- Available to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
- Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties, such as patrolling, patching, and minor equipment maintenance
- Ability to work assigned shifts, extended hours, and weekends as winter events require
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Previous experience in winter-works operations
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
- Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
