Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse (Part-Time)

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Regency Long Term Care Home in Port Hope, Ontario.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents. As a member of our care team, you will be responsible for assessing residents' needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing direct care to residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess residents' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, performing wound care, and providing emotional support.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
  • Monitor residents' health status and report any changes or concerns to the Director of Care.
  • Participate in in-service education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, including infection control.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
