Position Overview: Emergency Veterinarian, DVM

Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Emergency Veterinarian to enhance our 24-hour emergency healthcare team. The ideal candidate will appreciate the significance of fostering relationships with pet owners and our support staff to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a valid Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, qualifying for practice in Canada.
- Maintain good standing with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO).
- Preferably have completed an internship in Emergency or Critical Care or possess prior emergency experience.
- Exhibit excellent diagnostic abilities and comfort with routine emergency surgical procedures.
- Commit to promoting collaborative medicine practices.
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills when interacting with colleagues, pet owners, and the community.
- Show a passion for mentoring and guiding students throughout their DVM journey.
- Express interest in attending professional conferences and networking opportunities.
- Possess a love for all companion animals.
Work Schedule: Shift work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
