Position Overview Location: Richmond, BCCompensation: $20.84 per hour, maximum rate $37.38 (after 48 months)Schedule: 40 hours/week - variable hours, flexibility required.

The Utility Courier is responsible for picking up and delivering customer packages to adhere to daily schedules while addressing any issues that may arise. This role also covers for other couriers who may be unavailable during their shifts.

Utility Courier roles involve 40 hours of work per week. Start times may vary, and flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver customer packages to meet daily operational schedules
• Scan packages/mail upon receipt, delivery, or return to the depot at day’s end
• Address issues on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR)
• Report any inspection failures to the unit manager

Additional DutiesQualifications

Completion of High School is required.

Experience

Completion of vocational and business courses typically offered at the high school level
Possession of a Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record, not exceeding four (4) demerit points.
Minimum of three (3) years of driving experience is required.

SkillsProficient in Domestic Shipping, Courier Services, and Shipping and Receiving Operations.Physical RequirementsPhysical strength is necessary - ability to lift/lower up to 70 pounds. Physical demands include sitting, standing, and climbing.
