Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead

The Clinical Supervisor, Occupational Therapy is a key member of the Fraser Health team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of occupational therapy services. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the work of occupational therapy staff, ensuring optimal use of resources and meeting operational requirements.
- Develop and implement clinical practice policies, procedures, and standards, in collaboration with the Clinical Practice Leader.
- Provide clinical guidance and advice to staff, and participate in quality and safety activities to monitor the effect of clinical practice changes.
- Assist in the preparation of operating and capital budgets, and monitor expenditures for the section.
- Supervise students and coordinate their practicum learning activities, and participate in research and special projects.
- Carry a clinical caseload as required, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment for assigned patients.
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
- Three years' recent and relevant occupational therapy experience, including one year of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a patient and family-centered model of care.
- Ability to supervise, provide work direction, and guidance to others, and provide effective performance evaluation.
- Ability to allocate staff assignments to meet program requirements using available resources.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to teach, coach, and provide staff and student education and orientation.
