Church & Dwight Canada is seeking a skilled Mechanic-Assembler to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging equipment, maintaining high-quality products, and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, adjust, and operate packaging equipment to meet productivity standards
  • Perform equipment changes and adjustments to optimize production
  • Determine the need for adjustments and perform line optimization
  • Coordinate product and component supply to production lines
  • Operate and monitor equipment, including cartoners and fillers, as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding production needs and issues
  • Complete production records and reports
  • Report any quality deviations or issues to supervisors

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role in the pharmaceutical, food, or related industry
  • Ability to use manual tools and equipment
  • Fluency in French, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
