We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Specialist to join our team at FirstOntario Credit Union. Key Responsibilities- Provide sound investment advice and guidance to members, taking into account their individual financial situations and goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, understanding their needs and preferences, and delivering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Develop and implement effective investment plans, ensuring that members' assets are optimized and aligned with their financial objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments, identifying opportunities and risks, and providing expert analysis and recommendations to members.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including financial advisors and branch staff, to ensure seamless delivery of services and support to members.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of members' investment portfolios, making adjustments as necessary to ensure alignment with their goals and risk tolerance.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of FirstOntario Credit Union's products and services, ensuring that members are aware of and take advantage of relevant offerings.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with industry trends and best practices, and enhancing skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service to members.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, economics, or a finance-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Mutual Funds Licence or Securities Licence, with a minimum of two years' experience as a licensed representative.
- Successful completion of the Registered Investment Specialist (RIS) certification.
- Proud of your PFP or CFP designation, or currently pursuing your designation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with members and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide expert advice.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team, to achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional service to members.
- Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours, as required, to accommodate member meetings, networking, and community involvement.
