Counsellor/Educator - Behavioural Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Counsellor/Educator to join our Behavioural Services team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary mental health team, you will provide counselling and non-aversive behavioural therapy to children and youth living in the community with challenging behaviours and/or mental illness and developmental disability.
Key Responsibilities- Assess clients, determine referral needs, and formulate and implement treatment plans
- Provide comprehensive case consultation and follow-up support on treatment decisions
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver in-services, presentations, workshops, and training
- Manage a caseload of children and youth living with mental illness and/or challenging behaviours and developmental disability
- Design and implement non-aversive behavioural interventions for children and youth living with challenging behaviours and/or mental illness/developmental disability
- Master's degree in an applicable social or health sciences program
- Two years recent, related counselling experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Eligible for membership/registration with a relevant professional association
- Valid B.C. drivers' license and possession of a personal vehicle for business use
As a Counsellor/Educator with Fraser Health, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and youth living with mental illness and/or challenging behaviours and developmental disability.
