We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance staff and activities across multiple sites in the Lower Mainland.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of tradespeople in maintaining and upgrading machinery to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Accelerate the adoption of our computerized maintenance management system.
- Develop and manage budgets for maintenance activities and supplies.
- Contribute to strategic planning of plant and equipment layouts.
- Coordinate various projects considering municipal regulations, architectural, engineering, and trades.
- Conduct inspections and follow up on orders from authorities such as Workers' Compensation Board (WSBC) and municipal government.
- Drive continuous improvement of First Time Quality (FTQ) components through process innovation and variation reduction.
- Ensure staff work to required levels set by WorkSafe BC and Accoravillage Safety.
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation disciplines.
- 10 years' experience in plant engineering and maintenance operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management software (CMMS).
- Experience with tablet presses, encapsulation, packaging equipment, high-pressure steam boilers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), speed controls, etc.
- Proficient in the use of ACAD computer-aided design software.
- Experience with large scale production or facilities expansion projects would be an asset.
- Experience in purchasing and negotiating terms for manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in driving continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Experience with facilities operations, including fire safety plans and equipment, backflow preventers, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with explosion-proof equipment and installation.
- Understanding of architectural, electrical, and mechanical blueprint drawings.
