Server Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary:

BQ International Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Server Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As an Intermediate Server Analyst, you will be responsible for proactively maintaining and improving the server core infrastructure functionality and working within existing procedures and guidelines to meet client business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution to ensure seamless server operations.
  2. Hardware and OS Management: Perform hardware and OS installations, migrations, and/or upgrades to ensure optimal server performance.
  3. Software and Hardware Upgrades: Plan for software and hardware upgrades and/or migrations to ensure compatibility and efficiency.
  4. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain documentation, and provide cross-training and knowledge transfer to other server team members on relevant aspects of hardware and software support.
  5. Operating System and Infrastructure Software Maintenance: Maintain operating systems and associated infrastructure software to ensure security and stability.
  6. Procedure Development: Develop system-related procedures to ensure efficient and effective server operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to Established Policies: Adhere to existing GoA established policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and practices.
  2. User Account Management: User account (ID) creations, maintenance, and deletions for access to network resources.
  3. Exchange Email Resources: Maintenance of Exchange email resources such as mailboxes, distribution groups, Global Address List updates, and related services.
  4. User Security and Permissions: Implement and maintain user security and folder permissions.
  5. Reporting and Security Group Management: Provide adhoc reporting of same, and manage security group membership to provide access to files and folders for network applications and shared data.
  6. File and Folder Management: File and folder moves, restructuring, and permission setting.
  7. Customer Incident Resolution: Respond and resolve customer incidents/service requests pertaining to Domain and Exchange administration.
  8. Project Work: Some project work as required.
  9. Documentation and Process Development: Development and modification of domain and exchange administration documentation, processes, and guidelines.
  10. Active Directory Cleanup: Assist in active directory cleanup as necessary.
