The Department of Psychology at the University of New Brunswick is seeking applications for a 9-month appointment at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. This role is designed for an individual with a strong focus on applied behavior analysis. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Psychology with a solid foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis or a Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis complemented by a robust background in psychology. Those who are nearing the completion of their Ph.D. will also be considered. It is essential that candidates hold certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the time of their appointment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching four undergraduate courses, which include: Foundations of Learning, Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis, Clinical and Organizational Applications of Behavior Science, and one additional course to be determined in collaboration with the Chair. Furthermore, the candidate will oversee the Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate Program, providing guidance to current and prospective students, coordinating the placement and supervision of practicum students, and supervising undergraduate research.
The Department of Psychology in Fredericton offers BA and BSc majors and honors programs in psychology and biology-psychology, along with PhD programs in Clinical Psychology (CPA accredited) and Psychology. This position is contingent upon final budgetary approval.
