Job Summary
The University Health Network is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dialysis Porter to join our team. As a Dialysis Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dialysis services, providing exceptional patient care and transportation to and from appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients to and from dialysis appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Collect, package, and dispose of waste and recyclables in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
- Replenish supplies in washrooms and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping, dusting, and disinfecting assigned areas.
- Assist with patient handling and preparation for outpatient clinics.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics as needed.
- Deliver patient records, appointment cards, and supplies to and from clinics.
Requirements
- Partial secondary school education or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and verbal instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and priorities.
- Ability to handle heavy physical exertion, including standing, walking, and lifting.
