Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Avleen08 Ontario Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source and procure high-quality food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that all inventory is managed effectively.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and motivate a team of staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and that staff are trained and developed to meet the needs of the department.
- Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all staff are equipped to perform their roles safely and effectively.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal Preparation: Conduct regular inventory checks to estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that all stock is managed effectively.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire high-quality food service staff, ensuring that all new staff are properly trained and integrated into the team.
- Ensure Food and Service Meet Quality Control Standards: Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality and service, ensuring that all customers receive an exceptional dining experience.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates, ensuring that all financial resources are utilized effectively.
- Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or concerns, ensuring that all issues are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
- Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that all data is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports to management, ensuring that all key performance indicators are tracked and reported.
- Prepare Food Order Summaries for Chef: Prepare and submit detailed summaries of food orders to the chef, ensuring that all orders are accurate and up-to-date.
- Supervise and Check Assembly of Trays: Supervise and check the assembly of trays, ensuring that all food is presented to a high standard and that all customers receive an exceptional dining experience.
- Provides Awareness Training to Employees: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Applies Accessible and Inclusive Recruitment Policies: Apply accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
- Recruits Newcomers and/or Refugees: Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
- Supports Newcomers and/or Refugees with Foreign Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Offers Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Provides Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Offers On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Provides Awareness Training to Employees: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Provides Awareness Training to Employees: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
- Offers Workshops, Counselling Services, or Other Resources: Offer workshops, counselling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
- Supports Veterans in Translating Military Skills and Experience: Support Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
- Offers Flexible Onboarding Options: Offer flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace.
- Provides Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Applies Hiring Policies that Discourage Age Discrimination: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
- Provides Awareness Training to Employees: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Offers Phased Retirement Options: Offer phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
- Offers Phased Re-entry Options: Offer phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring.
- Applies Hiring Policies that Discourage Discrimination: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
