Senior Manager, Indigenous Client Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Manager to join our Indigenous Client Services group at KPMG. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to provide tax planning, due diligence, and compliance services. Your expertise in tax law and your ability to communicate complex ideas will be essential in building strong relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Work with First Nations clients and Indigenous-led organizations to support client engagements
- Collaborate with team members to deliver tax planning services to clients
- Utilize knowledge of the Indian Act to inform tax planning and compliance services
- Plan and organize teams to prepare tax returns and conduct tax research
- Advise clients on tax minimization strategies and compliance issues
- Review the work of junior staff to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Professional accounting designation
- Minimum 7 years of experience in tax in public accounting
- Enrollment in or completion of the CPA In Depth Tax program
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture, governance, treaties, and rights
- Experience working with Indigenous communities, governments, and associations
- Knowledge of the Indian Act and associated tax implications
- Knowledge of Section 149 tax exemptions of the Income Tax Act
