Senior Manager, Indigenous Client Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Senior Manager to join our Indigenous Client Services group at KPMG. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our clients to provide tax planning and compliance services, leveraging your expertise in tax law and Indigenous culture.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tax planning and compliance services to Indigenous clients, including planning, due diligence, M&A, and tax exempt status requirements.
- Work closely with our clients to understand their unique tax and compliance issues, including the impact on their broader business.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with our team to provide tax research and analysis to support our clients' business decisions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff on tax matters, including reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, etc.).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in tax, with a focus on Indigenous tax law and compliance.
- Knowledge of the Indian Act and associated tax implications.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities, governments, and associations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $97,500 to $151,000, plus bonus awards.
