Medical Laboratory Technician

Blanche River Health is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Kirkland Lake. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
  • Collect and process blood and other bodily fluids for testing.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide timely and effective laboratory services.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of laboratory results and procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Laboratory Technician training program or equivalent.
  • Registered with the MLPAO as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
  • Preference given to Medical Laboratory Technicians with cMLA/TMLPAO certification.
  • Experience in Medical Laboratory and Phlebotomy an asset.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bilingualism in both official languages an asset.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

What We Offer

  • Competitive rate of pay ranging from $29.60 to $34.13 per hour.
  • Eligibility to enroll in the HEALTHCARE OF ONTARIO PENSION PLAN (HOOPP).
  • Percent in lieu of benefits and vacation percentage paid out bi-weekly.
