Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

Position Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist will work independently as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. This role involves planning, delivering, and evaluating rehabilitation services with a focus on client-centered and goal-oriented approaches for both pediatric and adult populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a skilled inter-disciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Audiologists, to provide outpatient and community-based Speech-Language Pathology services.
- Implement a social-emotional, neuro-developmental, and play-based program that emphasizes a family-centered approach to care.
- Provide feeding and swallowing services for children and youth in partnership with other staff members.
- Anticipate working in a newly developed rehabilitation space for children and youth.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active registration with the relevant professional regulatory body.
- Eligibility for membership in national Speech-Language and Audiology organizations.
Experience:
- Prior experience in the field of Speech-Language Pathology is preferred.
Skills:
- Proficient in assessing, identifying, and treating clients across various age groups and with diverse diagnoses.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements:
- Must maintain good physical and mental health, capable of sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively under stress and time constraints.
