Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Portage District General Hospital, part of Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing pediatric Speech-Language Pathology outpatient and community-based services, working closely with a talented inter-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide pediatric Speech-Language Pathology services, including working closely with nearby daycares and nursery schools.
  • Utilize a social-emotional, neuro-developmental, and play-based focused program to provide a client/family-centered approach to care.
  • Work in partnership with other staff to provide feeding and swallowing services for children and youth.
  • Anticipate working in a new Children and Youth rehabilitation space, with a new hospital slated for opening in 2025.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba.
  • Eligibility for membership in Speech-Language and Audiology Canada.
  • Skilled ability in the assessment, identification, and treatment of clients of varying ages and with diverse diagnoses.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English language proficiency, both written and verbal.
