Job Summary

Mackenzie Health is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in an acute care setting. As a member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide holistic, high-quality, and safe care to patients with complex care needs. You will work collaboratively with patients, families, and colleagues to create a world-class health experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care to patients with complex care needs
  • Work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to create a safe and inclusive environment
  • Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Address and resolve issues in a productive and respectful manner
  • Exercising sound professional judgment and using best practice guidelines
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum of 1-year recent nursing experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse in an acute care setting
  • Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills
  • Successfully completed the IV Therapy Course with current competency
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent completion of a physical assessment course
  • Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO)
  • Experience with starting and maintaining IV Therapy
  • Wound Care experience an asset
