We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, preparing patients for examination, and operating nuclear medicine equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examination, including administering radiopharmaceuticals and monitoring patient safety.
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and scanners, to produce high-quality images.
- Monitor patient safety and well-being during procedures, and take appropriate action if necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Current certification with CAMRT and eligible for membership with CAMRT and CAMRT-BC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting patients as needed.
