Position Overview:

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Ltd. ('DHC') is a distinguished aerospace firm that is currently enhancing its corporate operations. Role Summary:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our Analyst teams, establishing the framework and data architecture necessary to bolster their functions. Your expertise will facilitate advanced reporting and modeling techniques aimed at enhancing the overall efficiency and capabilities of our Business Intelligence teams. You will also engage in innovative projects, delivering information solutions and strategic guidance to ensure their successful execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of ERP software and its database structure.
  • Design, develop, and refine scalable data architectures for use by Analysts in creating BI dashboards, reports, and presentations.
  • Conduct advanced data mining and manage data uploads to and from the ERP database.
  • Create sophisticated models and tools (such as PowerQuery, Excel, SAP Crystal Reports, SQL Views) that extract, visualize, and load data to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations regarding the evaluation and implementation of programs and processes related to ERP usage.
  • Assist the MPC Manager and Master Production Schedulers by delivering data models and visualizations for their presentations.
  • Act on behalf of the MPC Manager in various projects and decision-making processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • B.A./B.S. in a relevant field (data science, engineering, data analysis, statistics, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis, database management, ERP oversight, or similar roles within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including Power Query and database interfacing).
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities with a track record of developing integrated business models that support decision-making and KPI visualization.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools (e.g., SAP Crystal Reports, Microsoft PowerBI).
  • Driven to enhance methods for managing and communicating organizational data, with a focus on overarching usage and information relationships.
  • Strong SQL coding skills and a solid understanding of ERP systems (Visual ERP preferred) and relational databases.
