Position Overview: The Loss Prevention Training Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager and Area Loss Prevention Manager by overseeing the implementation of Loss Prevention strategies and initiatives at their designated location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the execution of Loss Prevention programs aimed at achieving shortage and safety objectives.
  • Identify and safely apprehend individuals engaged in theft, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Assist in the recovery of stolen merchandise and conduct audits to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Utilize advanced Loss Prevention technologies, including CCTV and access control systems, to monitor and address loss and safety concerns.
  • Provide ongoing training to store personnel on Loss Prevention protocols and best practices.
  • Collaborate with management to implement loss reduction initiatives that protect company assets.
  • Engage in investigations related to internal theft and policy violations, working closely with the Area Loss Prevention Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Loss Prevention or Asset Protection within a multi-unit environment.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, provincial, and local regulations regarding apprehensions and safety.
  • Possession of a provincial license is mandatory for this position.
  • Strong ability to interact with law enforcement and legal entities regarding criminal and civil matters.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and principles of inventory accuracy, including RFID technology.
  • Proficient in using MS Office and G-suite applications.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules based on departmental needs.
  • Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
