Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Lead and mentor QA team members, providing guidance on best practices and test methodologies.
  • Oversee manual and automated testing efforts, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and load testing.
  • Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to understand requirements, design tests, and deliver quality products.
  • Help design and maintain test automation frameworks and ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are fully supported with automated tests.
  • Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring proper prioritization and timely resolution.
  • Act as a QA advocate within the team, promoting a quality-first mindset and driving continuous process improvement.
  • Lead Test case reviews and participate in requirements reviews, design discussions, and code reviews to ensure QA input is captured early in the development cycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, trends, and methodologies to bring innovative solutions to the QA process.
  • Work with key stakeholders to define quality metrics and establish KPIs to measure and improve product quality.
  • Prepare test plans, documentation, and reports for management and stakeholders, clearly communicating the results of testing efforts.
  • Lead performance and scalability testing for critical systems and ensure solutions meet performance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance roles, with strong experience in both manual and automated testing (at least maintenance of framework).
  • Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., WebdriverIO, Postman, Selenium, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Proficiency with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for database validation and testing.
  • Ability to debug complex issues and provide solutions for automation challenges.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong focus on attention to detail and an ability to work autonomously.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (ex: AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
  • Experience in mobile application testing.
  • Certifications such as ISTQB or Certified Agile Tester (CAT) are a plus.
