Job Summary:

Boart Longyear is seeking an experienced Longhole Driller/Blasters to join our team. As a key member of our Drilling Services team, you will be responsible for operating drilling equipment and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate drilling equipment, including drill rigs and associated tools, to achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct pre-start checks and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Monitor and control drilling fluids, maintain accurate records, and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate.
  • Sufficient language skills, literacy, and numeracy skills to perform job-related tasks.
  • Labour background considered an asset.
  • 2+ years of directly related experience.
  • Exposure to different drilling environments and techniques is preferred.
