Job Title: Driller - Underground Coring

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Driller - Underground Coring to join our team at Boart Longyear. As a Driller - Underground Coring, you will be responsible for operating drilling equipment to extract core samples from underground formations. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and attention to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate drilling equipment to extract core samples from underground formations
  • Conduct pre-start checks and ensure equipment is in good working order
  • Monitor drilling operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure safe and efficient drilling
  • Collect and handle core samples, and prepare them for transportation to the laboratory
  • Perform basic maintenance on drilling equipment and tools
  • Work safely and follow all established policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve drilling objectives

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Sufficient language skills, literacy, and numeracy skills to perform all job-related tasks
  • Labour background considered an asset
  • 2+ years of directly related experience
  • Exposure to different drilling environments and techniques is preferred
