Job Title: Driller/Blasters Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Driller/Blasters to join our team at Boart Longyear. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating drilling equipment, maintaining a safe working environment, and contributing to the success of our drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate drilling equipment, including longhole drills and other specialized equipment.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Contribute to the success of our drilling operations, including mixing drilling fluids, performing basic maintenance, and maintaining accurate operating records.
  • Support drilling operations, including carrying out basic maintenance, housekeeping, and supplies counting.
  • Maintain accurate operating records, including daily drill reports and inventory logs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate.
  • Sufficient language skills, literacy, and numeracy skills to perform all job-related tasks.
  • Labour background considered an asset.
  • 2+ years of directly related experience.
  • Exposure to different drilling environments and techniques is preferred.
