Property Claims Appraiser, Major Loss Specialist

We're seeking a skilled Property Claims Appraiser, Major Loss to join our team in London/Kitchener & Waterloo region.
This is a remote position that will report to our London Ontario office.
Key Responsibilities- Determine and complete the scope of large losses, and prepare detailed repair estimates of damaged buildings.
- Travel on short notice to customers' locations to conduct inspections and identify the scope of damages.
- Deliver excellent customer service and provide technical support to internal and external claims adjusters.
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain restoration cost agreements and collaborate with them to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Work with the regular loss team to support customer claims when required and share knowledge to improve control methods and processes.
- Five to eight years of experience in post-claim appraisal with at least two to three years in large losses.
- Diploma in building appraisal and/or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Technical and practical knowledge of restoration of damaged buildings and high-level knowledge of Xactimate estimating software.
- Effective planning and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and an inclination to find solutions.
- Intent to deliver positive customer experiences and construction experience is preferred.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset for this role.
