Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing mammograms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mammograms in accordance with Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) and Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) policies and procedures.
- Provide client-centered care and work effectively as part of a team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Liaise with radiologists to ensure the technical quality of images is of the highest standard.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
- Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology.
- Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment.
- Current certification in Breast Imaging from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Minimum two years of current mammography experience, performing a minimum of 40 to 80 mammograms per month.
- Previous experience in radiological quality control and/or certification in radiological quality control.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
- Experience in and sensitivity to working with diverse clients and issues.
- Flexibility in working hours is required as dictated by the needs of the program.
- Must have own transportation and be able and willing to travel to designated locations when assigned.
