Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Support network operations in a high-pressure environment, ensuring seamless system performance and uptime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, including routing, switching, SD-Wan, firewalling, and wireless technologies.
  • Utilize vendor-specific tools, such as Aruba Central, Orchestrator, and ClearPass, to optimize network performance and security.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise IT, with a focus on infrastructure support and network management.
  • Strong understanding of server virtualization, storage systems, applications, and operating systems.
  • Experience with security administration, information and event management, and log management.
  • Diploma in information technology from an accredited postsecondary institution.
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and use of personal vehicle for occasional travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vendor and industry certifications in specific technologies and functions (e.g., CISSP, MCSE, CCNP, ITIL).
  • LEADS in a Caring Environment leadership capabilities at the front-line developmental level.
Working Conditions
  • Typical work environment: environmentally controlled office setting.
  • Lifting and moving large computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional travel to urban centers within Manitoba.
