Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at GP LANDSCAPING INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and construction of outdoor spaces, ensuring high-quality results and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of landscapers and gardeners, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective work practices.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring the upkeep of outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, and hardscapes.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct site assessments, estimate labour and material requirements, and develop project plans to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion.
  • Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and staff to deliver high-quality landscape construction projects.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain project records, including labour hours, materials, and equipment usage.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Develop and manage contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret and apply blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Identify and address work-related issues, providing guidance and support to staff to improve productivity and quality.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week
