Job Responsibilities

Role Summary:

This part-time position involves X-Ray duties with scheduled rotations in CT. The Radiological Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing various imaging techniques, including X-ray, fluoroscopy, operating room studies, and CT scans. The role requires flexibility to work during days, evenings, and nights, including weekends. The specialist will also engage in student clinical education and provide rotational on-call support from midnight to 7 AM, with a maximum on-site response time of 30 minutes. The physical demands of this position may include standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling, contributing to a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Note: Posted hours are not a guarantee that shifts will remain unchanged.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Mandatory registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Preferred registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
  • Proven experience in general radiography, mobile radiography, and intra-operative radiography, particularly in orthopedic procedures
  • Experience in CT, including IV access and contrast media administration
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development in the field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Consistent attendance is essential
