Position Overview

The role of a Food Service Supervisor at Boston Pizza involves overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant's culinary team. This position is crucial for ensuring that our food service meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Educational Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules effectively.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on their job responsibilities, as well as sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Prepare and submit relevant reports as required.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
Supervisory Scope
  • Responsible for supervising a team of 11-15 individuals, including:
  • Cooks (general)
  • Food and beverage servers
  • Kitchen and food service assistants
Work Conditions
  • Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and engage in walking.
