Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
- Reliability and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
