Flight Surgeon and Chief Medical Officer

SEDS Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Surgeon and Chief Medical Officer to join our team. As a key member of our space medicine team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall health and well-being of our astronauts before, during, and after spaceflight.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medicine, with a focus on space medicine and aerospace medicine. You will be responsible for providing medical support to our astronauts, including conducting pre-flight medical evaluations, providing medical care during spaceflight, and conducting post-flight medical evaluations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical support to astronauts during spaceflight
  • Conduct pre-flight medical evaluations to ensure astronauts are fit for spaceflight
  • Provide medical care to astronauts during spaceflight, including emergency medical situations
  • Conduct post-flight medical evaluations to ensure astronauts are healthy after spaceflight
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure the health and well-being of astronauts
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in medicine, with a focus on space medicine and aerospace medicine. You will also need to have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
