About the Role:
The Wellness Coordinator position is integral to the execution and continuous enhancement of a comprehensive Wellness Strategy that fosters inclusivity and holistic health for team members. The role involves overseeing wellness initiatives, managing benefits and assistance programs, and contributing to occupational health and safety efforts.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing wellness programs and services
- Assisting in the development of best practices
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Supporting audits of wellness processes
- Working on system enhancements and efficiencies
- Serving as the primary contact for wellness inquiries
- Participating in cross-portfolio committees
- Assisting in the administration of disability leaves and benefits
- Contributing to occupational health & safety programs
- Providing backup support for Wellness team members
Qualifications for Success:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- At least 3 years of experience in HR or administration
- Certification as a Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is an asset
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Understanding of relevant employment legislation
- Experience in organizing wellness initiatives
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Proficient computer skills and HRIS experience
- Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Location: Ontario (currently hybrid)
