Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Specializing in Wound Ostomy Continence to join the Wound Ostomy team at Vancouver General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients with skin, wound, ostomy, and continence challenges.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based care.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Completion of a recognized Nurse Specializing in Wound Ostomy Continence Education Program.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a patient-centered model of care.
- Knowledge of the BCCNM standards for nursing practice.
- Knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice related to wound care and continence.
