Position Overview: As a Financial Planning Associate, you will play a crucial role in assisting a Senior Financial Advisor and their team in managing their financial advisory practice. Your contributions will encompass a comprehensive array of financial products and services tailored for our clients.

This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about leveraging the financial planning process to strengthen client connections and contribute to an already thriving practice. We seek a meticulous financial services professional who excels in problem-solving and is skilled in developing financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collecting and entering client information into financial planning software.
  2. Creating presentations for client consultations.
  3. Updating and monitoring client plans in response to changing circumstances.
  4. Identifying opportunities to enhance and solidify client relationships (e.g., insurance, banking services).
  5. Assisting in the preparation of client files prior to meetings.
  6. Participating in client meetings alongside the Senior Financial Consultant.
  7. Processing new business applications and submissions.
  8. Supporting the Financial Consultant and team in formulating client recommendations.
  9. Discovering additional ways to serve existing clients.
  10. Tracking ongoing tasks or projects to ensure their completion.

Qualifications:

  1. A diploma in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Possession of a Mutual Fund or Securities (RR) license and LLQP certification (or willingness to obtain).
  3. Experience in financial planning roles and proficiency with financial planning software.
  4. Strong skills in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  6. A customer service focus, with proven capability to engage professionally with clients, both in person and over the phone.
  7. Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
