About the Role

As a Financial Services Associate at IG Wealth Management, you will play a vital role in supporting our Senior Financial Advisors and their teams with their financial planning practices. Your primary responsibility will be to provide a full range of financial products and services to our clients, ensuring their financial needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gathering and Inputting Client Data: You will be responsible for collecting and inputting client data and information into our financial planning software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparing Presentations: You will prepare presentations for client meetings, showcasing our financial products and services in a clear and concise manner.
  • Updating Client Plans: You will update clients' plans and monitor and evaluate as circumstances change, ensuring our clients' financial goals are on track.
  • Identifying Opportunities: You will identify opportunities to deepen and solidify the relationship with our clients, including insurance, banking, and other financial services.
  • Assisting in Prospect and Client File Preparation: You will assist in preparing prospect and client files prior to meetings, ensuring all necessary information is available.
  • Joint Client Meetings: You will jointly meet with clients alongside our Senior Financial Consultants, providing a seamless and professional experience.
  • Processing New Business: You will process new business, including completing and submitting applications, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Formulating Recommendations: You will assist our Financial Consultants and teams in formulating recommendations for clients, ensuring our clients receive the best possible advice.
  • Tracking Active Tasks: You will track active tasks or projects and bring them to completion, ensuring our clients' needs are met.
Requirements
  • Business Administration Diploma or Equivalent: You will possess a Business Administration Diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant business discipline.
  • Mutual Fund or Securities License: You will have a Mutual Fund or Securities (RR) license and LLQP certification (or be willing to obtain).
  • Financial Planning Experience: You will have experience in a role involving financial planning and using financial planning software.
  • Strong Computer Skills: You will possess strong computer skills in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills: You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to professionally interact with clients.
  • Customer Service Orientation: You will have a customer service orientation, with a demonstrated ability to professionally interact with clients, both on the phone and face-to-face.
  • Excellent Organizational and Time Management Skills: You will have excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to ever-changing priorities and time restrictions.
