Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gravel Truck Operator to join our team at All Season Weeping Tile Ltd.. This role involves operating heavy-duty vehicles to transport materials across various locations.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in diverse settings, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload materials with care
  • Drive and operate straight or articulated trucks
  • Inspect vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, and brakes
  • Perform necessary brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain vehicle through preventive maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch
  • Document cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage
  • Ensure safety and security of cargo during transport
Licenses and Certifications
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (for vehicles with more than 3 axles)
Technical Skills

Familiarity with GPS and other navigation systems is essential for this role.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs)
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Willingness to engage in repetitive tasks and sit for extended periods
