About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist Setup Specialist to join our team at MSS MACHINING & FABRICATION INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure accurate production
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools to optimize performance
  • Fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. The role involves handling heavy loads and manual dexterity is essential.

Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 hours per week
