Logistics Capacity Manager

Fuze Logistics Services Inc is a next-generation 3PL headquartered in Montreal, with offices across North America, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and decades of industry expertise to facilitate the transport of freight globally.
We are seeking a Carrier Relations Specialist to join our team in Montreal. This role focuses on the growth and development of the carrier portfolio, and is responsible for managing the day-to-day relationships with their assigned carriers and the prospecting and onboarding of new carriers.
Key Responsibilities:- Source, select, and manage carriers in the US and Canada, leveraging expertise and knowledge of the market and carrier preferences.
- Research and qualify new carriers based on asset size, modes, and regions covered, to maximize capacity utilization and carrier satisfaction.
- Develop a deep understanding of carrier's business, goals, preferences, capabilities, equipment, and expertise to maximize the relationship and capacity utilization.
- Use expertise and knowledge of the market and carrier preferences to source and provide capacity in both contractual and spot market environments.
- Provide day-to-day problem resolution, identifying issues, determining the best course of action, and implementing solutions, working closely with internal partners on shipment updates, problem resolution, and operational execution.
- Develop a diversified carrier portfolio, maintaining and growing relationships through regular communication and face-to-face visits.
- Participate in and/or lead carrier account reviews, evaluating current and future business needs, discussing recent wins/losses, and identifying opportunities for additional business.
- Establish contacts and build relationships to form an internal network of resources, comprised of commercial team members, service line partners, and operations teams.
- Process and KPI-driven approach to selecting and managing carriers, with effective negotiation of spot and contract pricing.
- The successful candidate will have at least two (2) years of proven 3PL work experience in a fast-paced, transportation purchasing-related role, with occasional travel within Canada and the US.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, in fluent English and French, with other languages considered an asset.
- Service-oriented disposition, taking action and making decisions in the best interests of the customer and carrier.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, with attention to detail and strong organization and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications.
