The Retail Operations Supervisor collaborates closely with the Store Manager to oversee all facets of store performance: Sales Optimization, Team Development, Operational Excellence, and Visual Presentation. This role emphasizes leadership through effective communication, training, and mentoring of Sales Supervisors, Sales Associates, and Support Staff, both on the sales floor and in the stockroom. Additionally, the Retail Operations Supervisor is expected to contribute to sales generation and must be adept at executing and instructing all POS transactions, resolving customer service challenges, and adhering to operational protocols and visual presentation standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Optimization

  • Regularly assess KPIs and sales performance
  • Establish daily objectives during team briefings
  • Exemplify the Selling Ceremony
  • Challenge the team to achieve their goals
  • Enhance data collection and accuracy
  • Empower the team to foster customer loyalty
  • Guide the team in attracting new clients through personalized engagement

Operational Excellence

  • Understand and implement Store Operation Procedures
  • Organize and supervise all back-office functions (inventory and cash management)
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and maintenance within the store
  • Prepare and oversee rolling and annual inventory audits

Visual Presentation

  • Consistently uphold visual guidelines and presentation standards
  • Lead by example in presentation and grooming, ensuring the team embodies the Brand's image
  • Provide qualitative and proactive feedback to the Head Office regarding products and visual merchandising to drive performance

Team Development

Performance Management:

  • Track performance: set clear daily/monthly targets (sales, customer engagement, product knowledge)
  • Foster a team-oriented atmosphere that promotes performance and initiative
  • Recognize and reward achievements while addressing underperformance with constructive feedback

Skills & Competencies Development:

  • Provide real-time coaching
  • Consult with HR on necessary development actions
  • Identify potential succession candidates within the store

Brand Strategy Communication:

  • Share information about upcoming events, store openings, and key company metrics
  • Address any questions or concerns from the team regarding company objectives
  • Cultivate awareness and knowledge of local competitors, new retail ventures, and community events

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a retail environment
  • Interest in art, photography, and literature
  • Strong grasp of retail operations and concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Experience in client engagement and maintaining a client portfolio

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The salary for this position ranges from $24 - $26 plus performance incentives. The offered pay will be based on the candidate's relevant skills and experience.
