Position Overview

Dean Wood Construction Ltd is seeking a dedicated Concrete Finishing Specialist to join our skilled workforce. This role requires a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail in the construction of concrete surfaces.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in concrete finishing
Work Environment

The work environment can be characterized as:

  • Dusty

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials
  • Repairing imperfections on freshly poured concrete
  • Utilizing power vibrators for concrete compaction
  • Leveling concrete surfaces to meet specified grades and depths
  • Applying desired finishes to concrete surfaces using both hand and power tools
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures
  • Applying hardening and sealing agents to cure surfaces
  • Waterproofing and restoring concrete surfaces
  • Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing damaged sections of concrete structures
Physical Requirements

This position is physically demanding and requires:

  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Strong attention to detail
