Job Overview

The MRO Planning Manager plays a critical role in the Business Development department, working closely with the Director of Business Development and Senior Manager Business Development. This position is responsible for developing and delivering accurate, competitively priced estimates, collaborating with stakeholders to improve labour estimates and Pre-Planning processes, and overseeing the BD Estimating and Pre-Planning teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and estimate maintenance projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of estimates to customers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and improve labour estimates and Pre-Planning processes
  • Oversee the BD Estimating and Pre-Planning teams, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring excellent communication and service
  • Manage and control human resources required to execute work, including employee development and performance management
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a planning and estimating function in aircraft heavy maintenance
  • Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of 15 years' experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of manhours vs skill set (workforce composition)
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate teams
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders
