Unlock Your Potential as a Junior Civil Engineering Technologist

At Montrose Environmental Group, we're committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. As a Junior Civil Engineering Technologist, you'll play a key role in our Eastern Surface Water Team, working on a variety of infrastructure, water resources, and restoration projects throughout Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in maintaining Matrix's strong safety culture
  • Conduct inspections on construction projects, including compilation of regular inspection reports and photo logs
  • Act as the primary field point of contact for various construction projects
  • Perform environmental monitoring, groundwater/soil sampling field work
  • Advise construction personnel on major decisions
  • Support tender document preparation for municipal construction projects
  • Conduct topographic surveys for design and assessment projects
  • Coordinate with clients and subcontractors on-site
  • Drafting and design support using AutoCAD Civil 3D software
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and technical reports
Requirements:
  • College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent
  • Professional Designation of CET or ability to obtain designation within 2 years
  • Previous experience in a consulting, municipal, or construction work environment is considered an asset
  • Ability to understand civil engineering drawings and interpret designs on site
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build positive relationships with contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders
